A fix for the very mysterious contact import bug has finally been put into place. Apologies that it took so long to get THE fix in but it was one of those things that we weren’t seeing for ourselves so getting a definitive fix was tricky. Now that’s behind us, onward and forward with more features!

It’s been a while since my own wedding and one of the features that I wish I had gotten to BEFORE the wedding was the ability to manage the different vendors. Now from the Our Wedding app you can add vendors similarly to how you can put together your guest list – by either importing them from your contacts or creating them in the application.

In addition to being able to add vendors another indispensable feature has been added which is the ability to call guests and vendors that you’ve imported from your contacts in the app. On the day before and on the day of there were tons of phone calls being made to guests as well as vendors and being able to do reference the right people (vs having to go through your entire contact list) can be a big help.

Our Wedding is a go!

Everyone wants their wedding to be special a special event including us! Our Wedding was developed to help me plan my wedding (which I’m still in the process of planning at the time of this writing). After checking out a couple of the available apps, I found none of them quite fit the bill (only 1 I found to be even worthwhile keeping).

I’ve tried to automate a lot of the things that I found was a chore in planning the wedding (e.g. managing the guest list) and packaged it in a way that is hopefully intuitive to use. As the days countdown to my own wedding I’m finding more and more useful things to add and I even anticipate adding some post wedding functionality to the mix.

This is the first post on Wepala!!! My name is Akeem and I’m a programmer and Wepala is effectively my mobile imprint. What does that mean? Well it means that all the work that I do in the mobile space is going to be released under this brand.
